Wonder How Green Are My Hands

Putri always pester me about why we can't have a teeny weeny home with a big garden. She said she want to do gardening and run around in the backyard. Off course I told her because it's too expensive to get a teeny weeny house here with a huge garden. She always said "Oh ok Mum. But I wish we can have a garden"

So my heart melts everytime she said that. Putri loves nature a lot. When we were in Germany, she love to be in the countryside and the forest. So I decided to see if I have green hands. I persuaded Juergen to go to the nursery with me and got few pots and pot soils. We had bought a lot of seeds from UK and Germany when we were there. So I told Putri we will have our very own little mini garden. :)

I started with curry leaves plant first. "Steal" some in the forest of MacRitchie reservoir. Hahahaa.. sssshhhh... Then we planted some red chili seeds. Happy to say they growing pretty well. Putri planted some Geranium if I am not wrong. Well will know when the plant blooms some flower. Hahahaha. I replanted some chinese parsley that I got from the market since most of them still have roots and soil intact to it. That also grows well and new leaves are growing now.

Just last week, I decided to grow some Basil, Birds Eye Chili a.k.a chili padi and corriander from the roots. Looks like it is growing some new leaves but time will tell. I am pretty happy with our mini herb/vegetable garden.

The owner of the apartment had left 2 Jasmine plant and they did not take care of them well. So I continue to water them daily and now they have new leaves and blooming tiny beautiful jasmine flowers. I am not sure if its Jasmine though. Hahahaha.. We get humming birds dropping by to visit everyday now. Its really beautiful. Putri wants more flowers so she hopes butterflies will come visit too. :)

So verdict? My hands are pretty green. Hahahaha. Next on the list, roses and hibiscus. :)

God Bless!
