Put Kids On Seatbelt? No Way.
I remember one time when I was in the bus and looking out the window, I saw a mum sitting on the front seat with her at least 1 year old kid on her lap. She looked at me and gave me the arrogant look. I guessed she was trying to say "Look at me, I have a car" Even hubby said she looked arrogant. Well I have news to all mummies who are doing that.. YOU DON'T LOOK GOOD AT ALL!!! I mean come on, how good can you look having a kid as a cushion (God Forbid) should there be a sudden strong break or worst an accident!! Please I am begging you mums, parents, grandparents, caregivers.. please provide a baby seat and seat belt for your kids.
I am sorry but that is so irresponsible and STUPID not to have kids on seat belt.
I am talking about this because recently there was an article in the newspaper and I AM SHOCKED BEYOND BELIEF WHAT SOME PARENTS SAY!!
Well, read it yourself and tell me how can you not be angry....
Here is the site...

If you can own a car I am sure you can buy a car seat...
If your child throw tantrums because he/she has to put on a seat belt and you agree not to have the seat belt on.. Who is the parent here?
I cannot believe the reasons they gave for not having the kids to put on seat belt or on baby/kid's seat. I am truly shocked!!!!!
Anyway I just have to let it out because I have seen kids in the car witout seat belt and babies on mummies lap seating at the front passenger seat and even the mummies have no seat belt on. These have to stop!

Being A Mother
Its a very lazy sunday for me. I love Sunday because usually I get to do nothing much. I tried to take it easy with the housechore on a Sunday. I tried not to make a big deal when kids make mess but rather make them do some cleaning up. But the best thing about Sunday for me, hubby cooks! I love it when he cooks. He makes something different and usually he cooks food he love during his childhood. Today he is making some Lentil Soup The apartment smells good and I am looking forward to it.
Its on a Sunday I get to sit back and look at how my kids had grown and how much I love my husband. Its not easy being a mother but I am enjoying it.. Received a nice email from a friend about being a mother today. Hope you enjoy reading them.

Reward of Homeschooling!
Last Monday on the 12th, I had my first Parent-Teacher Meeting. I was very nervous because Putri had been homeschooling for the last 2 years. I thought it would be good for her to be homeschool rather than enrol her in Nursery. This year, she is in Kindergarten and we felt she is ready for school.
Homeschooling was fun for us. During the 2 years I concentrate more on phonics. Putri had lots of fun learning new words through theme learning.
The rewards of homeschooling for Putri...(comments from her teacher)-
She is able to enjoy school the fullest and not worry about not able to do her school assigments. She is able to interact with other kids through helping them to read instructions and in some way teaching them phonics. Her teacher also mentioned how she was very well advanced in reading in comparison with her classmates. She is always cheerful and very responsive. I am glad I homeschool Putri. Knowing how happy she is in school makes me a very happy mum!
Please dont underestimate what your child can achieved just by spending an hour with him or her. When I homeschool my girl, I did not buy expensive homeschool materials. I surf the internet for worksheets and ideas. We make our own book and worksheets at times. When I taught her time, I made a simple smiley face clock from paper. Everyday I will ask her for the time and she would refer back to her smiley clock. After 2 weeks, she was able to look at the home clock and recognise some of the time. Repitition, encouragement and lots of appraisals do wonders for your kid confidence. I made sure every day I would tell my husband how well she did that day in front of her.
I am missing homeschool and so does my girl. We stil spend an hour everyday learning but now at a much slower pace. I still continue to challenge her at home while in school she is having fun.
So to all parent that homeschooling their kids... Cheers to you!!
